Editorial governance

This page explains responsibility for the4AT.com, how clinical and supporting information is maintained, and how corrections are handled.

Responsible editor

is the responsible editor and publisher of this website. His professional identity can be verified through the University of Edinburgh Research Explorer profile and ORCID record.

Editorial scope and sources

The website provides the 4AT instrument, guidance on its use, translations, evidence summaries and related delirium information. Material clinical claims are checked against the original 4AT publications, primary research, systematic reviews and authoritative clinical guidance as appropriate. Citation links are retained so readers can inspect the supporting sources.

Review and revision

Substantive changes are recorded on the Notes on revisions page. Page-level review dates are used where supported by the current publishing system. The website does not imply separate independent clinical review unless a named reviewer and review date are stated visibly on the relevant page.

Independence and conflicts

the4AT.com is an independent specialist resource. University of Edinburgh and NHS affiliations are given for identification and do not make this an official University or NHS website. The responsible editor is a co-developer and author of the 4AT; that relationship is stated openly and should be considered when interpreting editorial decisions.

Corrections and contact

To report a possible factual error, broken source, attribution issue or accessibility problem, email a.maclullich@ed.ac.uk. Please identify the page and provide the supporting source where possible. Credible corrections are checked before publication and material changes are recorded. Do not send confidential or patient-identifiable information.

Clinical boundary

The website provides general clinical information and does not give advice about an individual patient. Local clinical policy and appropriate professional judgement remain essential.
